Agave Saxi

AGAVE SAXI
A variety of Pita fibre also known as Henequen. Principally grown in Yucatan and is used for cordage. Much used by the Mexicans. The fibre is white to pale straw in colour is stiff and short and very liable to rot; very elastic and has a wavy appearance.
